I’m a newbie and hoping you can help me figure out the breed or breeds of the 4 chicks in these 4 photos. The guy who sold them to me can’t tell me what breed he sold me and said they’re all mixed! I think there’s def some Plymouth but Wyandotte also has similarities.
Thank you in advance!

Wyandottes should have a rose comb, and chicks with a Wyandotte parent usually do too. Plymouth Rocks have single combs, and so do many other breeds.

I think I see single combs on the chicks in photos 1 and 3, and on the front chick in the second photo. I cannot see what comb type the darkest chick has.

Do you know whether the guy had many different breeds of chicks in one pen, or whether he meant that each particular chick might be a mix of breeds? If each chick is a mix of breeds, you may never know for sure what they are, because there are so many possibilities.

I'm not sure, but these are my guesses
New Hampshire
EE
Delaware
Delaware
Could all be mixed though. Did the man breed them himself?

I’m not certain but I think he meant they can be of all mixed breeds. He also said Plymouth so I don’t know and I think he doesn’t like me asking him questions too much it’s why I asked here. I appreciate you answering me.

Yes well actually he has a rooster in each hen house and it looks like all hens in there could be different breeds because I went in to choose my hens and they were all different colours and sizes. I wish there was a EE in there but doubt it he said all his hens lay brown eggs.
thank you for your input:)

They are probably mixed breeds, and it may not be possible to guess what breeds their parents (or grandparents) were.

The brown one might have Rhode Island Red in it, and the black one might have Barred Plymouth Rock, but there are lots of other breeds that could have caused the same colors in those chicks.

The color/pattern when they grow up may help sort them out somewhat.

They are pretty chicks, no matter what mix they may be!
