phooey! you are right - i looked up the breed in a search and mine look like that. i was kinda hoping they were aracauna's but the white threw me off. what color are the eggs?

Give them some time. This is the "freak-out" stage for any breed of bird.

When they reach sexual maturity, they slow down and run towards you. They LOVE being nearby.

At least, mine did. She would run up to you and walk in front of you so that you had to pick her up. She was in my senior photos!

I need to get those loaded somewheres...

o.k. miss becky3086 - you're pretty good at "name that chick", so couldn't figure out what these were either and thought they were either rir or buckeyes. then i saw the word welsummer in your signature line and looked them up. is that what these are? they are 11 weeks old.

it's been fun getting assorted, but figureing out what i have is tricky - especially when i use dial-up for an internet connection!

Definitely not Welsummers. I agree with the Production Red statement. They were probably sold as Rhode Island Reds though... And yes you have a few boys there...

wow - that's a new one to me. what is a production red? none of them have acted like boys yet. it's the light brahmas that are doing the chicken neck thing so far. details?
