As well as the points Frazz brought up, there aren't any true Ameraucana varieties that match up (as far as down color) with your babies. Hard to tell at such a young age since so many breeds look alike at just a few days old.I was gifted some chicks and am not sure what 2 of them are, I was told they are pullets but nothing on breed. So all Ameraucana have blue legs? No matter the color of their feathers?They're easter eggers. Ameraucana have slate blue colored legs, with white foot bottoms. They would also have to have more puff to their cheeks, as muffs and beard are SOP for the breed.
Easter Eggers can have any color legs, and don't always have muffs or beard.
That's fun aspect of this breed....it's a surprise every time!
