My family got 4 chicks that were supposed to be RIRs.
As you can see, they were not all RIRs. This fella (Timbs) is a Buff Brahma. Also 2 of our "Barred Rocks" grew up to be Black Australorps.
But as for the other 3, I could use some help identifying them. They were pretty standard light, yellowish chicks. Not really any brown, and they didn't have any stripes or markings.
We got these guys from Tractor Supply, and after sleuthing I found the hatchery they buy from. Out of the breeds at the hatchery, the ones that match these fellas most closely are:
And now the chickens. They're 18 going on 19 weeks old, and are showing signs of laying soon.
