Well first of all, speckled sussex are brown under all their dots and javas are black underneath. Sussex's have pink legs while mottled java's have yellow. There are probably many other differences but they are completely different breeds.just asking, what's the difference between a mottled java, and a sussex?
You can start a thread if you're really not sure!thanks for the tip! now i am going to go and look at my sussexes (i don't know if their sussexes anymore )
If you have no idea, please do not confuse others.just asking, what's the difference between a mottled java, and a sussex?
There are 2 blacks. One I was told is a Dominate Copper. She has feathers on her feet. The other, poor thing, lost a wing as a day old. I can try to get a better picture of her. She is timy, probably under 9 mths old.circled in red are speckled sussexes.![]()
The Dominant Copper (spelled like so) is likely a Dominant Copper like you were told. There are 2 blacks. One I was told is a Dominate Copper. She has feathers on her feet. The other, poor thing, lost a wing as a day old. I can try to get a better picture of her. She is timy, probably under 9 mths old.
Can you indicate which are Isa Browns?I see some ISA browns, Sapphire gems, a Delaware, speckled Sussex or mottled javas, and some australorps or Langshans (depending on feathered feet or not). The one in the front corner looks like a mix.
