These are Hooded Mergansers.
Those look the most similar to the orphaned ducklings in my opinion. I think they are hooded mergansers! These are Hooded Mergansers.

Orphaned ducklings were found running around somewhere with no sign of their mother. We supervised them for multiple hours with no mother in sight. Could anyone identify the breed?
Yup, absolutely hooded Mergansers. These are a very difficult to raise species and I'd recommend getting them to a rescue asap. They can't have regular chick starter or anything like that. They're designed to eat fish and aquatic invertebrates. How many do you have? Give them just a small dish of water so they don't go overboard and soak themselves, they get very carried away in water and will get soaked. They look like @The Phantom's Hooded Mergansers, but I bet @MGG will know.
