What breed are these pullets? Black Orpingtons?? Black Australorp??

When I bought my Buff Orpingtons from a local feed store I was told that the black ones were Black Orpingtons. However when I asked the breed they seemed uncertain about the answer so now that they are layer age I thought I would get opinions. I only have 3 of these pullets and they all are solid black with a glossy greenish highlight.

(Please note that the black and white pullet is a unrelated gift from a neighbor)

My guess would be black astralorps. They look just like the ones that my buddy has.If I'm not mistaken the black orpingtons have a lighter grey leg and the astslorps have a dark charcoal looking leg.

Leg color and the bottom of the feet will tell the breed.

You need to check the color of the bottom of the foot - the foot pad area.

Here is a pic that shows part of the bottom of of the foot.

Does it mean I have to many chicken photos if I just happen to have a stock photo of the bottom of their FEET hehe.

These other shots are when they were younger but show detail on the feet and sheen of the feathers

Are those buff orpingrtons next to them?? If they are just compare body shape! The orpingtons are shaped the same!!

2 of my girls look just like them except they have cream colored legs n feet.I thought mine were wyondottes as I also have a golden lace and was told they were all the same litter.Im new to this and really dont know all the breeds.does anyone know if they have all the same coloring but not black legs/feet are they wyondottes?

Your black Australorps should have white wing tips.
The black bottom foot doesn't necessarily mean anything.
If they don't have white wing tips, they are likely either just Black Orpingtons or a mixed breed of sorts.
The DO resemble Australorps though, and are very nice looking.

I believe the yellow bottom foot mentioned by another poster likely means they have Jersey Giants.
