I have two I'm guessing hens that I bought from a breeder that said they were Jersey Giants I saw parents and everything but I have one Jersey Giant hen and these two are just so tiny more like a Sumatra or something like that. What do you guys think? They love to fight for some reason which is way off from my jersey giant hen Violet!

Hi, hope you are enjoying BYC! :frow

I feel like I am seeing pointy saddle feathers on at least one. But not seeing any red waddles or large combs. Can you make an identifier between the two birds some how? like label them. The first and last large pics are looking pointy feathered... But pics aren't that clear. DO you know how old?

They look more like Australorps than Jersey Giants. Usually with Jersey Giants, you can see the yellow skin show a bit through the dark wash on the shanks. They appear to be about 8 to 10 weeks of age, definitely female.

One is like solid black comb eyes everything the other has just a tiny bit of red in the comb/wattles. I've had them for 4 months and they were already fully feathered and off heat lamps for awhile. They've not grown much and I think are starting to lay white eggs cause I've been seeing white eggs recently and my other hens lay brown. The lady had Jersey giants, Orpingtons, and Rhode island reds but she has them in big coops separated.

What color is the comb - looks blackish to me. I can't make it out from the photos. If so it wouldn't be a Black Australorp

Look like crossbreds to me. Not Sumatras for sure.
I have raised Australorp and their combs are red and striking against their black bodies.

I'm gonna go ahead and say I'm thinking cross as well. And female!

but she has them in big coops separated.
I have mine separated to... but on occasion I will have an escapee. :barnie

Even people who have their pens separated doesn't mean they make good selection when it comes to who they keep as breeding stock. If those are indeed Giants... then poor quality breeding as far as SOP goes (though I don't know the SOP for them). Some people don't make selections at all. In addition, many people state that when they get Giants from the hatchery, they NEVER reach Giant size... Her breeding stock may be hatchery stock?

I will also note that my really large breeds do grow slower so may not SEEM larger at the beginning.

Either way, they are pretty birds, and hope they are tons of fun for you! :pop
