What breed are these?

I picked up a few chickens, just wondering on what everyones thoughts are on what they are. I believe all are mixes.

So I know this ones a frizzle, but what kind of frizzle?

I don't know, but number 2 and 3 look like their mother of father was Spangled Hamburg.

The fourth one looks like a Polish mix.

I think all of them had the same father...who carried a Birchen gene! lol

I agree that they had the same father, although I can't say for sure because they came from an auction. Hard to get good pics of them, (we have them in small cages away from the other birds for now). But some of them have blue cheeks, and 5 toes, so I'm thinking a silkie mix as well.
Also a few have walnut combs.
There is also a white one, that looks just #3.

They are not pure bred for certain. I tend to agree that there was a spangled hamburg in the wood pile somewhere though due to the color. The one with the little fluff on her head looks like she could have some polish or houdan or something of the sort in her. They are pretty.

lol, so I'm going with "Heinz 57" on the breed of these.

But one more question:
What would you breed them with for pretty yard chickens?

Why...they're already pretty!!!

You could try a really loud color..Easter Eggers can add alot of color...you could also try Barred birds...but the birchen in those birds is going to break up the barring. Then again...you might get lucky! lol

it depends...I know silkie or frizzle is dominant..not sure which one there...LOL
