What breed are these?

We got these three chicks along with our three Cornish from Tractor Supply. The sign said that they were Plymouth Rocks but they don't look like Plymouth Rocks to us. Even as chicks they didn't look like Plymouth Rocks. The two roos have yelow feet and are brownish black with a blue/green/purple shimmer to some of the feathers. The little lady is brownish black as well but her feathers are stripd like a tiger? Does anyone know what type these could be?

Hatchery quality partridge rock? That would also be a type of Plymouth Rock. White, Barred, Buff, Partridge, etc.

There are many types and colors of Plymouth Rocks. Your could be that breed, just a different color. Have they started to lay eggs? Plymouth Rocks will lay brown eggs.

I thought tey could be Partridge Rocks but didn't realize that they are the same thing just a different color/type. They have not started laying eggs yet. Thanks for the info.

Yup, partridge rocks. The hens are so pretty when they grow up!

I think so too! The little hen of ours ( Pigeon ) is such a sweetheart. She rides on my shoulder when I walk out into the yard and talks to me the whole time. Hope she stays that sweet. I love how the little Roos look too, they have a blue/green shimmer on their feathers, reminds me of a peacock almost.

I also agree with the other guesses,partridge rock. I had bantams at one time.I think that the partridge rock hens are more appealing in color than the roosters which is usually the other way around.

PR and all my PR roos have been the best gentlemen...if you can keep roosters, I suggest keeping this breed.

Our roos are such gents too! The head Rooster doesn't mind them at all and even defends them against our disgruntled hens. I've noticed they like to explore, my front flower beds are witness to that but they always come running when I walk out the door as if to say "hey dad, we were looking for you"

partridge plymouth rocks and i hope you have more than just that one pullet you need at least 6 hens per cockerel
