What Breed are we?

At first I thought we had a Rouen and Pekin, but after looking at more pictures I'm leaning towards Mallard and White Runner. What do you think???

If I'm not mistaken, you are right. You do have a pekin anda rouen. They look exactly like mine do at that age and they do grow fast.

Thats not a pekin. It has faint eye stripes. Are these purebred or could it be a cross?. Could it possibly be a muscovy? the color of the bill looks suspicous.

Where did you get the ducks from?

I'm going with Rouen for the black/yellow. The other, I'm not sure. Doesn't quite look like a Pekin to me.

These came from TSC. I didn't think they carry crosses. I was also maybe wondering if it might be a welsh harlequin? I've seen some pictures of those ducklings look a lot like this one.

I was thinking a harlequin. I saw that breed at my TSC as well and was wondering what they were. They have faint eye strips and their beaks are not orange, so they are not pekins or white runners... (White runners are actually hard to come by).
i's also too big to be a snowy mallard.


I wouldn't rule out a buff duck yet either...

you have a Rouen, and the other, now that you mention the eye stripe, looks like an Aylesbury

Aylesburies are also very hard to come by.... Most feed stores or TSC's won't have them in their mix of ducks... They usually order their straight run ducks from the big name hatcheries, like Ideal, Metzer, etc....

Plus aylesburies don't have gray beaks, they usually have very light pink colored beaks/feet... That your little guy def has a gray beak...
