Hello!
Was wondering what breed bantams I ended up with? I want to re-home them and don't know what to list them as? I got them thrown in the box at TSC because they had bloody feet. I didn't think they would make it, but here they are! One is now crowing. Surprise! lol! Already have two big roos and I don't think introducing this guy would be a good idea. Thanks! Oh! They're two months old.

They're supposed to be really friendly, decent layers, and they're soooooo cute.

Thanks! Didn't realize they were so nice? Great may have to figure out how to keep them? LOL! If he keeps crowing tho they're gonna have to get booted to the garage. They're in the basement now.

We have a roo and six hens of this breed, and they're great little birds: very pretty, very small, and great fun! The two oldest hens were raised from feed-store chicks, and they are so tame that I can pick them up very easily. The youngest birds were raised by their parents, but they're still calmer than average for hen-raised birds. Our hens are also quite broody, although I have noticed that two of them are very funny about chicks that don't match the rest in color (i.e. a dark brown chick in a batch of yellow striped ones) and I have had them go after the odd-colored chick. I don't know if this is a breed tendency or just my getting weird hens. If you end up keeping these little ones, their first adult feathers will not have perfect markings, but after their first winter they will molt into much fancier plumage that looks more like the photos of the breed.
