I hatched some eggs from a guy on craigslist. He had a lot of breeds in different pens. I hatched blue and brown eggs. These babies all hatched at the same time, I dont know who came from what egg. The breeder said he was developing F1 olive eggers. I think he was using cream legbars for this experiment. DH picked up the eggs for me and didn't get any info. So now I have these 5 black/barred chicks with feathered feet. They are 12 days old. Any idea on breed?

I am trying to explain to DH that these guys can't be rehomed until I can tell the new parents what they are. I want to keep them, but I promised to hatch and sell them. He does most of the work now. I had foot surgery and still healing.

I think they are French Cuckoo Marans or maybe Olive Eggers if the guy crossed Cream Legbars with French Cuckoo Marans.
Agreed.

Sure you can.
You explain they're unknown. People sell mixed or unknown breeds every day.

I trust the wisdom of The Moonshiner:D I thought the chicks would have crests of some sort if they had cream legbars in them. Should I post better pics? They sure are healthy and move fast!

If one parent is a Legbar, yes I would expect them to have crests by the time they get all their head feathers.

If you look at pictures of Polish or Silkie chicks, they often have a bump on the head (oddly shaped skull.) But pictures of Cream Legbar chicks show a normal shaped head, and then they grow the crest feathers as they get a bit bigger.
