What Breed Chick is This??

I look at him and he has gold feathers around his neck, and looks almost like a "French Copper Black Marans," but I bought him at the feed store so I dot think it is that. other than "Black Sex Link" can you tell me anything more specific?

She is a black sex-link, or as McMurray Hatchery calls them, black stars. I don't know if any of the hatcheries have a more specific name for them than black sex-links. They are made by crossing a Rhode Island red roo with a barred rock hen. She's definitely a girl, as a boy would be barred like a barred rock. She'll be a great layer, lucky you!

I know its a she, but i call some of my chickens boys depending on their attitude and this one i consider a boy even if he lays eggs. i think i have 4 boys that lay eggs lol. Black Star sounds like a better name than "Black Sex Link" thanks anyway guys!
