Don't see lavender Cochins around much but I'd definitely vote them over Marans simply because I've not yet seen a LM.
And it's true they seem poofy enough to be Cochin.
Wait and see how they feather out.

That's pretty cool, but I'm too cheap for that. Lol.
I live in the deepest depths of Ireland. The most exotic breed we see here are probably hatchery grade Silver Laced Wyandotte.
The only breed I see in people's garden are RSL. It gets boring.
