What breed do I have?

It's hard to tell what a chick will feather out to be, but maybe an expert will come along who knows more! I have lavender orpington, lav marans, lav ameraucana and blue Andalusian chicks all together right now, and except for minor differences they look extremely similar. Gonna have to wait a while probably! Lavender or blue anything is beautiful though, you'll probably be happy no matter what ;)

Not a Cochin at all. Looks more like a Lavender Orpington chick.
Thats what I wanted in the begining...but he said he only had the Silver Chochin...lol. I hope it is a lavender orphington and Im hoping its a pullet.

Thank you...Im just hoping fir a .

I just hatched out a few Orpington chicks and the females have been slower to feather and have a clear hen stance, if that helps at all. If it's an Orp this may also be your experience but every flock is different :) Congrats on the lav bb!

To my knowledge there is no such color as Silver in Cochins. Unless its a project color he is working on. But the APA & ABA do not recognize Silver as a color in Cochins.
I sure couldn't find a pic of one...that explains why
