What breed do you recommend?

Cayugas are great too, they are funny sweet ducks, and real beggars if they see you have greens they get very excited (especially arugula, they will eat all arugula in my hands then stick their head in my jacket sleeves just in case any is hiding)

*giggles* Okay, I'm starting to see that ducks have alot of personality!! I can't imagine the Runners. They just look entirely too... odd. Like they're made of Laffy Taffy and someone just started pulling on them.

Anyone got an idea on hatchability rates? you know, within reason. My last batch of 48 chicks came out excellent, only lost 6 I think, so I'm hoping maybe I can try my hand at the duckies. We're hoping to have them hatched about a week before Easter, so her daughter can enjoy them indoors for a little bit.

My girls are the sweetest things! they like to sit on my lap and cuddle and they produce alot of eggs. they are so sweet and funny looking! comical little duckies! i love open ing the pen in the morning and seeing them coming running up to my feet! They try to groom me! I have so many diffrent cute stories! But when i get started I won't stop! haha
If your looking for a lovable pet duck then go for a runner!

PEKIN

I love my Pekin ducks. To me they are THE BEST breed of duck in the world. They were my first breed of duck and my favorite breed. I just love their personalities.
