What breed do you think this roo is? Araucana?

The friend that gave us this roo said he had ordered easter eggers/Araucana. Is that what he is? DH and myself thinks he looks more like the leghorn pics we found. Thankx!

That's what we were thinking...which is fine. The girls are RIR and Gold Sex Links. An egg guy is fine with me! lol We'll see if we get some chicks this spring.

To me he looks just like the roo pic of a brown leghorn at the McMurray website. except his comb got a touch of frostbite, and now it's shorter and rounded.

Looks like a Leghorn - But let me remind you that Easter Eggers and Araucanas are completely different, and Araucanas usually sport tufts or no tail. No hatchery ever sells them.

With the white ears along with the body type and color I'd say brown leghorn , might have been the free mystery chick in an order .

Thankx for the info tid bit, Illia. I thought the two were interchangeable. SteveH- I was thinking that he was possibly the free chick, "packing peanut", but our friend gave us three, all looked like this guy. Perhaps he thought he ordered easter eggers.
