Its always nice to see more blues of any breed.. would love to see Silver Laced Orpingtons in this country.. (would like to have those myself) but I think I would really like to see more Dark Cornish.. I love that breed however they arent good layers.. but what wonderfully beautiful birds and great personalities..
I'm finding locally, that people are skeptical or confused about *odd-colored* eggs (eggs that aren't brown or white).
Either they think they have 'super-powers' or they think they must be off or tainted somehow (ie: what do you feed your chickens to get them to lay those funny colored eggs).
I've become enamoured with my Modern Game bantams and I don't find many people raising them.

Wow thats a tough one. My first reaction is Gold Lace Orpington (it's my desktop wallpaper...lol)
But I confess I'm right fond of my Red Chantecler and they aren't that easy to find from breeders other than hatcheries. Out of my 4 standard roosters (blue orpington, blue laced red wyandotte, black cochin and my red chanteclers) he is currently my favorite.
He's not as flashy or beefy as my other guys but there is just something about him that has kept him from going to freezer camp everytime I've culled the flock this year.......
