x2She's a Rhode Island Red and she should start laying soon.
Yeah, she does look like a Rhode Island Red. I have had them before, but when I bought her four months ago, they told me she was a Cinnamon Queen (not that I had a preference), and it’s probably hard to tell the difference but either way I would’ve expected her to start laying by now based on my past experience with pullets. My Brahams, which are huge hens, mature late and started laying late. I haven’t had a Rhode Island Red in a while. She's a Rhode Island Red and she should start laying soon.
I have a young 8 week old Cinnamon Queen (supposedly). I was worried about temperament since I'm not a fan of my RIRs, which they're mixed with, but she's an angel . . .so far.Yeah, she does look like a Rhode Island Red. She’s a bossy little thing we call her Vanessa. I think she’s mostly just trying to get my attention so I’ll pick her up and hugher. I lost three of the others that I purchased with her to Hawks unfortunately even though I keep a close eye on them. The Brahmas are too big for the Hawks to bother with but the poets were a perfect size evidently.
