Chicken Fried was brought to me as a ”I have to many roosters” baby. I have no idea what his breed is. Please help identify what Chicken Fried is so I won’t have to keep repeating...I don’t know...he’s a rooster.

Yes--looking at pictures of other Salmon Faverolle roosters, I can see that Chicken Fried has a lot of black on the hackle feathers, whereas other Salmon Faverolles do not.
He doesn’t have feathered legs and his comb is wrong for a pure faverolles, he is beautiful though!! very stunning 😁

I saw a marans that looks a lot like him, but he dosen’t have a waddel under his beak. He is still young. Eight months old and a mess. He loves to roam the yard and get bugs cleared out of the garden.

Easter Egger.
After reading up on the Easter Egger, I would agree. I have never encountered a chicken with the tufts like his. I’ve had silkies along with a wide variety of birds, but I will say...he is special. Beautiful bird that roams freely in the yard. I am happy to note that his breed is weather to,errant for cold and heat and that he is a “friendly” breed because I have an up and coming Buff Roo and Buff pullets for him to be friends with. I have had mixed flocks in the past and everything worked out fine with proper introductions. Just another day at Green Acres backyard farming.
