This little girl came with my purchase of 6 Easter Eggers. Of the 6, one turned out to be a rooster, which is a problem I have to deal with. Of the remaining 5 girls, this one is the smallest of the bunch, and stands out, significantly. Enough so, that I'm not convinced she is an Easter Egger. Not that there is anything wrong with her, or that I'm unhappy with a non-Easter Egger, but I'd just like to know what she is.

Born on 4/22/12, none of my girls have laid any eggs, yet. What do you think she is?

Wow was a gorgeous bird!! I love the grey feathers under the red!! I dont know what she is, but I sure wish i had one like her!! So pretty!!

Does she have green legs or grey?

she shows characteristics of EEs but appears to be mixed. she looks like she has a double comb as opposed to a pea comb, and lacks any bearding. I know, I know, EEs are mixed. But the standard issue EE from a hatchery generally has a pea comb and a beard anymore.

not all ee's from hatchery's have beards. i have seen that happen more times than i can count. she is a beardless ee with some very nice coloring. if you can keep a cockerel i would keep him and breed them to see what i would get. i have breeding pens and then i have my pen that is just for me mixes :)

The comb looks like it is a rose comb. If it weren't for the green/grey legs, I would suggest that she might be a hatchery blue laced red Wyandotte. So, I'm going to have to lean toward BLRW/EE cross. Very pretty.

I've seen a fair amount of easter eggers with the blue "undercoat" for lack of the correct bird term lol. It's quite striking. Other than that, she's lacking a beard but looks like an ee. And a pullet.
