Just wondering, my EE has been having problems with being egg-bound.
Wondering which breeds seem to have the most problems.

I dont think there are specific breeds. I think it is based more on feed/nutrition the bird gets.

I could be wrong, not sure.

Tiramisu,

What does feeding and nutrition have to do with it? I'm curious because I believe in preventative medicine and would like to adjust accordingly.

Right now I have a mixed flock of different breeds:BO, B. Australorp, Andalusian, NHR, EE, SS and none of them lay particularly large eggs. They get Flock Raiser and oyster shells and there's only been one soft-shelled egg since they started laying last November.

I hope I'm doing it right.

Mary
