Hi Guys,
Does anyone have any ideas on what breed or even sex my chick is?

It is way too early to tell the sex or breed. You need to wait until it’s at least 10 weeks old to tell... How old is it now? If I was to guess the sex now as it looks quite obvious unfortunately in this image, it looks like it to me it’s a cockerel due to it’s posture, lack of feather growth (females grow feathers quickly) and it’s thick legs. I can see some chicks in the background that are much smaller than him and have lots more feathers. :D

Thanks Sagey_7878, I did it was a cockerel, I'm guessing he's around 3 weeks old but I'm not 100% sure. :hmm

Actually, to me, in the pic it looks like any chick looking over its shoulder at something its not sure about. Upright, trying to figure it out... I'm not terribly big on stance, because pullets will adopt a 'male' stance given the right circumstances.

Where did you get your chicks? What did your order, or what did they say they had on offer?
That said, what type of comb is it? What color legs? Can you get a pic in natural lighting? Unless its an early cockerel, you won't be able to tell this young, but at this point, unless its a cross, you should be able to tell breed.

Frazzemrat1 - Thanks for your reply, we got a variety of chicks all pure breeds, that's him/her standing next to a Brahma chick, I'm not sure if their the same age though, there could be 1-2 weeks age difference. I've also attached a pic of his comb, his legs are pinkish, he also has very large feet. I was wondering if he could be an Asil or Aseel? :)
