Usually, Old English Game are neither good egg layers or good eating birds. They are excellent at brooding their own eggs and chicks, however. Old English Game are one of the hardiest breeds of chicken as well and great foragers.

So I dont mean to hijack your thread, vut for some reason my phone wont let me start a new one...sooo... if anyone could tell me what kind of rooster this is i would be grateful. I got him as a chick from a lady who said it was an amerucana hen (blue egg layer) then when it was a teen she came over and said its definitly a hen but would be a brown egg layer.. two days later he started crowing lol anyways any help would be great

The feet have what look like a yellowish tinge to me--so I'd guess Jersey Giant. Is he big?

Bigger than the rest of my chickens... and he is still young, the hen I got with him (im guessing EE due to her feathery cheeks) isn't even laying yet. This is him and one of my speckled girls.
