What breed is my duck ? educated guesses welcome

Ok I’m scared of predators so I like to enclose an area but I just built like 500 sq foot place outside with seven feet tall walls and wood lining the top but I haven’t done the roof yet my husband hurt his leg so if I put fishing line sporadically across the top will that stop hawks?

It may. I haven't ever used it. But members on the predator forum can advise.

I have fishing line across my run area after a hawk attack I spread them out about 2-3 feet because their wingspan is larger than that. They can see the fishing line and won't go in because they know they won't be able to get out. I have a friend who has used that method for years like 10 or so. She lives on a pond with eagles and hawks, she's never had an attack. It's what she learned from other farmers.

I string up the line from one side to the other and I kept doing it until the whole run was covered.

I'm not saying it's 100% foolproof but it's worked for my friend and I.
