Carnicles I think is the word your looking for probably spelled wrong by me.It's an odd word, and I think, though it is pronounced something like cronkles, you can search for it online as caruncles. It's the red skin around the face of Muscovy ducks. Muscovies are a different kind of duck, not closely related to the mallard-derived ducks, which is all the rest of them!
If a mallard-derived duck (like Pekin) breeds with a Muscovy, the offspring cannot produce viable offspring. They can lay eggs, but won't develop properly. Like horses and donkeys produce mules.
