What breed is my new roo?

I bought this roo about a month ago. I thought he looked like an RIR (I'm sure he's not purebred) but the guy I got him from said he wasn't RIR. I no absolutely nothing about chicken breeds (though I wouldn't mistake a white leghorn for a RIR, I hope!

). Can you tell what he is? I have some hens that I am going to ask about eventually, but I thought I'd start with the roo since he was being co-operative. He's very sweet - not agressive at all - we have another roo in the pen with him and they don't fight at all!

He almost looks like a single comb Buckeye. Just by the way he is standing and the way his back slopes. If you pick him up and look at the base of the feathers if there is some black, or "Smut" in the RIR world or as we Buckeye people call it "barring", he is a single comb Buckeye which happens sometimes.
