Not exactly accurate. Blue is a dilute gene for black, and is a dominant gene. Blue birds have one dilute gene. Splash is a double dose of dilute gene. Black birds have no dilute gene. Lavender is a completely different dilute gene. Lavender is recessive self-blue.
Well, I misspoke when referring to it as true Lavender. I have seen the light Blue Andalusians present in a color that was particularly similar to Lavender, but I would assume it was nothing more than an oddity relating to the regular blue gene. Now, these were hatchery birds, and it was only around 2 out of a crop of maybe 30 pullets total, so it's possible the hatchery somehow managed to outcross to something with a Lavender gene, and these particular girls ended up with that color showing. But as far as I could tell, they were pure - just oddly colored Light types. The other lights were white, splash, or some similar color, but these couple of girls were pretty much the same color as a Lavender bird.
