Can anyone I.D my cross roo Echo. He reminds me of a salmone favorell but has a weird hairdew. The person i got him from says he might be a favorell silkie cross. What do yall think? On a side note if he breeds a silkie hen will he throw silkie feathered babies if he is part silkie? Thanks!

I'm not certain of his breed but I do have experience with breeding silkies. I have a few half silkie mixes and they only breed this "hairdo" and some have a beard. They have regular feathers nothing like a typical silkie. I even have a chick that is from a blue copper maran father and a half silkie mother and she has the beard and hairdo that is it. You just never know what will become of them.

It's always a total surprise for me. I typically know who the fathering roo is ( I have multiple roos) but once the chick hatches it's so amazing how that color came out. Most of my chicks hatch not even close to what I'd imagine. With all his colors and bloodline I bet those will be some amazing chicks.
