What breed is my Rooster? Solved! It's a black sex link.

He is 6 years old. I've had him for 5. He had a brother looked just like him. Bobcat got him. I got them from a friend. Her 6 year old son terrorized them. Chazed them with sticks, threw balls at them, and chased them with remote controlled cars. They become mean and she got scared of them. With time, patience, and kindness they tamed down and became pets.

There is a calendar that has a picture like him. It was taken at a park in California. I had 1 suggestion of it being an Iowa Blue. It does look alot like 1, except for the leg coloring.

Yes you may be right. He may just not be purebred and that's why he has the wrong leg color.

He looks like a Black Sexlink to me. Iowa Blues have penciling on the breast, not barring. There are a couple cockerels on this FeatherSite page for Sexlinks, and a 2 year old rooster. They start out more barred but as they get older they get more white.
