What breed is my rooster?
Does anyone have an idea on what exact breed my abnormally large 11 week old rooster is?

Where did you get him?

He bears a significant resemblance to one of the meat hybrids. Dixie Rainbow, perhaps?

I got (rescued) him from TSC
He’s a week younger than all my Wyandotte’s, but is at least double the size.

So he’s so big because his parents or ancestors were meant for meat? Pumped with hormones and whatnot? I’m hopeful he gets even bigger, honestly.

Dixie Rainbows are bred to produce meat, but grow slowly enough to have a strong frame and a healthy lifespan for those who want to have a slower growing broiler or even breed them and use them for eggs at home. Definitely not pumped with hormones and definitely will get bigger.
