Australorps do come from Orpingtons, but they are their own true breed with their own distinct standard. Among the differences is a straight tail shape without the big cushion saddle look that Orpingtons have, and closer feathering.

Could it just be a poorly bred American Orp? They’re less fluffy, right? Or does it still not look Orp at all?

I think too much is off for even an American Orp, but this is just my opinion.
