She looks like a young Rhode island red

Are rhode island reds bad flyers? This hen cannot fly AT ALL. Its like her feathers are low quality by flight standards. She also has 2 big thigh bones, very big.

From my experience, yes, all my rhodies were fairly poor flyers. They were heavier and stockier than the rest of my flock and the only time I ever saw them airborne was when they were roosting. One of them was especially ill-equipped for flying, she had shorter legs and wings and a more heavy set body compared to the rest.

Mine shares most of those similarities so I guess she is indeed a rhode island red.
