Nope, that's not true. If anything, they live longer because they don't get as many issues as larger breeds.

Poor girl! Have you tried integrating her into a flock? There are several people on here with blind chickens that do great in flocks.

We don't have any other hens or roosters anymore but back when we did, the others just bullied her and pecked her neck. She also fainted outside easily in the mildly hot weather.

So we just keep her inside.
