You have a single comb light brown leghorn, I believe. (There is also a single comb dark brown variety and the Danish brown leghorn, which has a single comb.)
Leghorns are the best egg layers, and they lay large white eggs. The white leghorn is the best layer, but browns are very good also. The roosters are very colorful. The browns have better coloring for hiding from predators than the whites.
its not a single combed brown leghorn more of a hamburg or a hamburg mix...need a shot of the comb...not only is the comb wrong but also leg color is wrong for a light brown leghorn as they have yellow legs not slate
Her feathers are real similar in color to my Wellsummer, but I don't think she has gray legs. She also doesn't have white earlobes. So, maybe a mix with a Wellie? Do you know how old your bird is? It has longish tail feathers, but a tiny comb and waddle. It's too blurry and my contacts are too old for me to see the feathers real good.
