What breed is this big yellow rooster

This was hatched last year, but I'm not sure what it's breed is.

Thanks! I checked the photo of orpington, it may be this one. We had a pullets hatched together with him, but she died and he is the only one of the breed we have.

Where did the eggs come from?

I think he's a mix. Probably some Orpington in the ancestry, but I'm seeing yellow legs. Orpingtons have white skin, and it's dominant, so the pure Orp parent had to be back two generations at least.

I'm also not sure what's up with the white patches above the earlobe?

Last year I got some eggs from a local farm, I don't remember clearly what they are, and we hatched them. I began to raise chickens only from last year, so at that time I had no idea of any breeds.
