I got an order from Meyer today & I was trying to sort through the chicks - I'm dividing them with a neighbor. I got the brown layer assortment.
I was able to Id 25/26 chicks. I ended up with:
10 barred rocks, 10 black SL, 2 speckled sussex, 2 BO, a white rock and this mystery chick:

It has a single comb, a buff body, lighter yellower head, long fluffy down, and clean peach legs.

I don't think so - its body is darker than its head. It looks like the BOs except for the yellow head and long, fluffy down. I'd think it was a buff cochin, but it hasn't got feathered legs.

It isn't a BO... It has dark bars on it's wing feathers. Hard to see through the down, but they're dark grey/black.
I'm beginning to think it's either a really light NH red or some kinda EE.

What comb does it have? If has a single comb it could be a Delaware, White Rock, Golden buff sex-link, New Hamphsire. If it has a pea comb maybe a Buff Chantecler. Hard to tell at that age.
I would say by your list of chicks that you know of that you got from them that ie was a second White Rock.

Here's a pic of the mystery girl taken about 5 minutes ago.
Single comb, peach legs, pinkish/yellow beak.
Feathers are coming in white-tipped-brown, white, and black-barred-brown-white-tipped.
Any educated guesses?
