What breed is this chick

Jersey giants are not pure black when they are chicks.

These are my jersey giant chicks, as you can see, they are not plain black.

Yes I'm aware which is what raised suspicion as first as these guys had white but very little the. One started developing quite a bit of brown on her face. These are pics from the other day not the best but these are my 2 one that I'm pretty certain is intact a black sexlink

Thanks for the help I thought it might be a black sex link but most black sex links have white spots and the special browns were Easter Eggers. They were chipmunk colored.

Male black sexlinks have the white spot on the back of their heads. The females are mostly black. The coloring is linked to the sex, hence the term sexlink.

Lots of chicks look like chipmunks. That hatchery's browns aren't easter eggers, they're mixed breed brown egg layers. Like a generic production Red.

I have a question about chick colouring. Unfortunately I cant post any pics dues to technical issues!
My black hen hatched nine chicks. Four were black with white bellies just like some of the pics in this thread. And the other five were chipmunk pattern light brown. Now they are five weeks old the black ones are getting mostly black feathers but with bits of white and the chipmunk ones have brown and sandy colours.
The mother hen is all black and the father cockerel was dark brown with blue and green feathers on his tail and some red feathers. When he was a chick he was solid darkest brown. When the mother was a chick she was solid black.
So my question is why are the chicks black and white or brown/beige? And will they stay this way or change when fully grown?

The chipmunk type chicks are a partridge type pattern. This means that your black hen is most definitely a mixed breed. Since she was solid black as a chick, it's likely that she's a black sexlink. The black chicks with white bellies are extended black pattern. They will likely be solid black as adults, males may develop some red through the shoulder/wing as they mature. The chipmunk chicks will either look like their father, if male, or similar to a Welsummer if female.
