what breed is this chicken

I am pretty sure that they don't come in those colors but want to know more about the breed.

Maybe they are silkies, but what they are dyed with I haven't a clue!

Hello and Welcome To BYC! Those are Silkies. They are a great pet. Yes, they are silkies. In this country they are available as bantams(small size) , in UK and elsewhere they are larger birds. The bad thing about silkies is they are extremely
difficult to sex as young birds. Generally a lot of people think they bought pullets and find out later, its crowing rooster! Much better to buy as point of lay pullets or mature laying hens.

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! Those are Silkies. The Silkie in the photograph looks like a Red Silkie, but the picture was probably changed to make it look more red.
