What breed is this chicken?

Here she is in this photo next to one of my 17 chickens. Smallest one.
I put

one of my 8 buff orpington pullets in with her.
They are about the same age and this buff orpington pullet is smallest of my 8 buff orpington pullets.
But this little silver laced wyandotte is about 1/2 the size as my smallest runt sized buff orpington pullet? Weird...

She is a little small for 8 months but its hard telling if you were told right too.

My coworker told me she was hatched in the spring in her 9 year old grandsons class room as a class project. She told me it started laying eggs this summer. It hasn't laid a egg for me yet and I have her for over a week.

It can take up to 3 months for new birds to adjust to new surrounds and start laying again.
I have heard that before but any new chickens that I have introduced to my flock that were good layers never had a delay. The ones that had a delay when introduced to my flock well let's just say it wasn't a delay. They never laid eggs at all.

Your luck then. I've seen hens take as much as 6 months to start laying on a regular basis.

They were old hens though.
This hen is young so I know she eventually will.
I'm trying to integrate her into the main flock right now.
It's not going so well.
She gets bullied.
It's going to take time.

Well the silver laced wyandotte or what we named her "Special chicken" is doing good.
The other chickens tolerate her presence but she still a bit of a outcast.
I don't think she is laying eggs maybe in the spring?
She is still less than 1/2 the size of a buff orpington hen.
Not sure if that's from living in a ferret cage in a garage/lack of proper care/feed or her genetics.

I have two golden laced Wyandotte’s one is normal size and the other is really small. She’s catching up but still the smallest of all my chickens. I thought she was some sort of bantam but the hatchery I got her from doesn’t have GLW bantams.
