Hi,

The farm I got this one from said he isn't sure what she/he is. He said he got a bunch of random eggs from a farmer in Washington, and there were three he couldn't name. I also got two pretty Ameraucana chicks from him and 2 Rhode Island Whites.
She is about 4 weeks old.
Any help would be appreciated!

How can I tell the difference between EE and Ameraucana?
The easiest way is that true Ameraucana always have a color/variety specified. Your's is not a recognized variety for Ameraucana. If no variety/color is specified, it's a pretty sure thing that you are getting misrepresented Easter Eggers. Another way is price. Easter Eggers are very common, and priced about the same as most other chicks. Ameraucana are more rare, and cost quite a bit more.
Easter Eggers are actually a better choice for most backyard flock keepers than Ameraucana. Ameraucana can be very slow to mature and tend to be poor layers. Easter Eggers tend to develop more quickly and tend to be better layers.
