Hi everyone, I know this is a chicken forum but I really need help to determine what breed my 5 day old goat is! I got him at an animal swap and when I got him the only thing the person I bought him from told me is he is a boy and he is 5 days old! I know I should have asked him some questions but I was too excited I guess!!! I was surprised to see that my goat has a long tail I have always seen goats with short tails! Here are some pictures of him! The man I bought him from also had other goats for sale and they were pretty big! Thank you!

Its tail is a dead giveaway!! Also it has wool not hair. The general appearance is lamb. They are good pets too! Many people get their tails docked for hygiene purposes, they can get dirty and then maggots there, also good to get wool sheared yearly(spring) for same reason.(wool maggots) Don't let this scare you, sheep are really friendly and great pets! You will love him or her(if it is a him I would get him fixed if he is just a pet so he does not get too pushy) I always had goats a friend of mine had sheep. She had two that followed us everywhere!!

Look up wool maggots in sheep and tail docking sheep on internet. Good luck with your little cutie!! I can see why you brought this one home!!!
