What Breed Is This Hen? I Think She Belongs To Someone On BYC

Saw this picture on here I think and I'm in love with this hen. What breed is she?

She does belong to a user here although I can't recall what thread she was in. She is an Orpington. And she's really, really big. She weighs more than the Orpington rooster she's in with. @Faraday40 might recall who she belongs to...

She's not my hen, but could be an Orpington. (right type of face) A hen from imported English bloodlines can get to be 10lbs (males are larger), and they can go broody. Although they can cover a lot of eggs & chicks, my BIG broodys can also be clumsy & occasionally break an egg or squish a chick. I just love their round basketball shape. They have loose, fluffy feathers which also makes them appear larger.

Your hens/Jewel are too cute. They're massive :lau I love the round shape as well. That's why I got some cochin bantams. The photos make them look like little cantaloupes. Can't wait to see them in real life.
