Just wanted to add that not all EE's have the beard and muffs. They can also be clean faced like a regular chicken. Hope you find out what it is.

So I am 100% now that these are not Hamburgs. They are crested! (Whoever said that the "cliff" on their heads looked odd and not like a Hamburg was right!)

They are so sweet and adorable, I LOVE them. They are the most docile chicks I have ever had.

Polish on the left just for comparison. Does that Polish still look like a WCB to you all?

I am certain that my chicks are Spitzhaubens now that they have those black crests growing in. Those weren't on the hatchery's list for the rare assortment, but that hatchery does sell them so...

I'm so excited, I hope they are really Spitzhaubens!

they are spitz, polish have noticeable crests usually at hatch.
I should have recognized them, don't know why I didn't, been a while since mine were chicks...
