What Breed is this Roo?

Hello everyone!!

I'm wondering if you could give me some information about my rooster. He was sold to me by TSC as a Polish in a straight run.

I'm fairly sure he's a Spitzhauben but I don't know if that's... Possible.

My other question is this; I've purchased some mosaic hatching eggs. If all goes well and we get some hens, what will breeding this guy with them do? I really want to continue breeding these mottled chickens and we lucked out big time with how docile and respectful (not friendly but we prefer him to keep his distance) he is. Not to mention how good he is with the hens!

Is there any way a mosaic x a Spitzhauben would result in mottling right away? Or would it take several generations to see a speckled result? Thank you for any help!

Wow super handsome! Definitely not a Polish!!! Lol, TSC always throws surprises at us. I'm not too familiar with the Spitzhauben breed, and not sure about mottling genetics either... Wish I could get some speckled birds myself soon!

Gosh don't tell my mother this - we'd have to rename all our head chickens to political figures!

We thought he was just a really badly bred Polish for so long while he was growing up. I'm honestly glad he wasn't!!
