Meyer doesn't have Partridge Rocks that I see. Are you sure it wasn't Murray McMurray?

Body fits Leghorn, earlobes are wrong, coloration fits a black Copper Marans. Weird.

Maybe he's a beardless single combed EE? He doesn't match the other breeds. Maybe ask Meyer's Hatchery, they may know.

Both characteristics of Brown Leghorn, Welsummer, & Partridge Penedesenca, & Wheaten Marans is that all the males have a colored wingbar/triangle.

They don't have any Partridge Rocks anymore.

Another theory is he's a very flawed Black Copper Marans. They have white legs, & he has yellow.

He's definitely a tricky one. And handsome.

No it was definitely Meyer Hatchery

Then it has faults. Likely a yellow skinned Black Copper Marans as posted above. They seem to have mostly clean legs from that hatchery.

Yellow legs, slender body, no white earlobes, Birchen, so probably not a brown Leghorn or Welsummer.

Yep, I was thinking some brown leghorn, but if so, he's got something else too. Pretty boy.

I'd say it was a hatchery-Welsummer, myself. I've seen males in two different variations of that color.

Welsummer cocks:

The male on the left was a darker, more mahogany red than his brother on the right who was a more pale, gold color in his hackles and saddle.

It is certainly not a Barnevelder.

The problem with hatchery birds is that they are in general a decent approximation of their breed or variety, but they are by no means always good representations of their breed.

The rooster in question certainly looks a lot like my three brown leghorn roosters ... bought from Cackle Hatchery.
