What breed is this rooster?

We found this rooster and none of our neighbors have claimed him. He appears to be blind in one eye and has limited vision in the other so I'm taking him in. Curious as to his breed, though. Any ideas?

My daughter has a rooster that looks a little like this one that came out of a golden comet. Hard to really tell.

His eye loss may have been from fighting another rooster. Sometimes they go for the eyes. Somebody didn't want them fighting so they dropped there problem off to somebody else. Luckily for the roo somebody that cared found him.

This poor guy looks like he's gone through a lot. The clouded over eyes and there's a lot of dried/crusted up wounds on his combs and wattles.

Now the challenge that I have is integrating him into the flock.

Golden Comet isn't a breed. It's a name for a commercial sex-linked hybrid. Each hatchery will have their own name for them. Meyer sells Golden Comets, though.

Try to look up Golden Buff instead. Number 9 is right though it is a golden comet sex link roo but they have soo many diff names out there for the sex links. I looked through my Meyer catalog just to make sure & definitely looks like a golden comet sex link!

Golden Buffs are from Meyer, right! Thanks for correcting me. Golden Comet is another name for gold sex links--they are from Cackle. The rooster could be either.

I'm going to differ--I don't think he's particularly a sex link rooster, I think he's just a mixed breed. He has way more gold than a sex link rooster would have, and in the wrong places. Plus, the white legs indicate something like Orpington or Sussex heritage. I know some light Sussex hens are used in sex link crosses, but this guy didn't have a colombian parent. I think he's a mix of mixes.
