If they were sold as AmerIcaunas, they are probably Easter Eggers. It is not a harmless spelling error. Hatcheries purposely call their Easter Egger birds, mixed breed chickens with Ameraucana, Araucana and other blue egg layer bloodlines, AmerIcaunas with a seperate spelling so they can't be called liars. Its a dirty trick that makes true Ameraucanas few and far between. People buy these chicks, thinking they have purebred birds and in turn accidentally and ignorantly sell the chicks they then hatch as purebred and so on.

You have an Easter Egger roo (the top one)

The second looks more like Silver Laced Wyandotte mix roo

I agree that second bird could have a barred parent a generation or so back. He looks similar to my barred/mixed roosters. And the first is an Easter egger.

They probably will finish out very pretty..Many times the people who are selling them do not know they are not Ameracuanas....
It is a little sad for folks thinking they are breeding purebreds...............but they should be nice chickens..........
I have two EE hens that are great layers...............
