Hatcheries purposely call their Easter Egger birds, mixed breed chickens with Ameraucana, Araucana and other blue egg layer bloodlines, AmerIcaunas with a seperate spelling so they can't be called liars. Its a dirty trick that makes true Ameraucanas few and far between. People buy these chicks, thinking they have purebred birds and in turn accidentally and ignorantly sell the chicks they then hatch as purebred and so on.

that's for the second one.Where we got them they only have RIR, barred rocks, and"Americaunas." Was thinking it maybe crossed with there barred rock?
