Would you know if they sent you a bantam breed or regular size? It's really too young to tell now, can't even see the comb. If you could post pictures again when it's fully feathered out 7-8 weeks., we could tell a lot more about it.

I have also found that the pictures of chicks in the catalogs are of minimal help when trying to figure out breeds. There is just too much variation in color patterns.

I have a Cackle Surprise box myself, 50+ chicks, a lot of feathered legs, 2 Turkens, lots of banties and "yellow chicks" and polish. Lots of black and whites that could be barred rocks or Dominiques. Who knows??

I agree! The catalog is no help. We got quite a few gold laced polish, a really cool colored one it looks blue and white. We also got a lot of black and white chicks. Hard to tell what they are yet. Did you get ducks chickens or guineas?

It may be a silver spangled. Cackle already took down the hatch dates availability list for june 7th so I can't compare

No, nothing but chicks. If I did it again (and I'm not sure if I will, the price is good but we'll see how many roosters I end up with!!) I would put something in the comments sections like "Please feel free to include ducks or turkeys". I think if you do that, they are more likely to include "other fowl". Reading the recent reviews, it seems like they are not including other types of poultry as often.
